Leon Methodist School – Leon is a village south of Jeremie in the mountains. 20 kilometers as the crow flies but seems much further away when traveling by car on Haiti’s tough dirt roads. The school pictured below shows the wear and tear of Haiti’s ever-hot and humid climate. A representative of the community reached out to our ground team and asked if we could help with repainting the building which, apart from much improved appearance, would go a long way to preserving the structure. It took a few months to organize the funding for the work but happy to say that later this week our painting crew will be on site, cleaning the walls first, then repainting the exterior and interior.
