Welcome to the Roseaux Orphanage
Nestled in the small seaside village of Roseaux, located 15 miles east of Jérémie, the Roseaux Orphanage is home to 25 children. These children are cared for by a dedicated staff responsible for cooking and cleaning. Additionally, a visiting nurse provides monthly wellness care to ensure the health and well-being of the children. As for the dirt piles, a new boy’s dorm was under construction out of the picture on the right!
Our Partnership and Support for Roseaux
Over the years, Jeremie Rising, in collaboration with two Michigan-based Methodist churches, has fully supported the operating expenses of the Roseaux Orphanage. This includes routine maintenance and several significant improvements, such as:
Boys’ Dormitory
Constructing a separate dormitory for the boys.
Upgraded Facilities
Improving shower and toilet facilities.
Solar Power System
Installing a reliable solar energy system to meet the orphanage’s energy needs.
Education for Every Child
Education is a priority at the Roseaux Orphanage. All eligible children attend school, with Jeremie Rising and its partners working to secure tuition sponsorships each year.
