Other Buildings

We’ve been asked, if not called, to lend a hand when catastrophe has leveled churches and school buildings. We’re blessed with a ground team that is skilled in organizing and executing construction efforts quickly and efficiently…creating work for the villagers otherwise unemployed.

Providing Schools and Churches to Haiti

In Haiti, schools and churches are more than just buildings—they are lifelines for their communities. Churches, in particular, serve as 24/7 community centers and often double as overflow classrooms for nearby schools. As the need arises, we have stepped in to rebuild or construct these vital structures, ensuring they can continue to serve their communities.

Rebuilding Chiraque After Hurricane Matthew

When Hurricane Matthew devastated Jérémie in 2016, the church in the village of Chiraque was destroyed, along with an adjacent block of schoolrooms. By April 2017, our ground team—working alongside the villagers—rebuilt the church with our support. By the end of that year, the school classrooms were also rebuilt, standing alongside a newer classroom building we had constructed the year before, which had withstood the hurricane.

Rebuilding a Chiraque Church After Hurricane Matthew

Three months, start to finish. . .a tribute to the energy and dedication of the villagers working alongside Jeremie Rising’s skilled ground team. We were there for the dedication, truly a joyous day!

A New Church for David

Invited by David’s pastor, deep in the mountains was a ramshackle assemblage of tin, tarps, and plastic sheets. We were asked to help, and we committed to helping THEM build a proper church, complete with solar power.

Rebuilding a Church in Testasse

A catastrophic wind storm stripped the roof from the church in village we use for our mobile medical clinics. Both interior and exterior walls suffered damage as well, and many pews were destroyed. Our ground team quickly put together a repair plan, and the church was fully restored in two months’ time.

Our Building Goal for 2026

The Need: a
Proper School in David

While the church in David has been rebuilt, the village’s school remains an open-air structure—a large tin roof over a dirt floor with no walls. This school serves over 200 children, but it lacks the proper facilities needed to provide a safe and effective learning environment.

It has long been our ambition to build a proper school in David, with buildings similar to those we constructed in Chiraque.

Our Hope: To Build the Needed School in David

We hope to raise the necessary funds to build a proper school in David by 2026. This project will provide the children of David with a safe, secure, and inspiring place to learn and grow. We’ll need around $50000 to do so.
